WELCOME!!á To Rockford Senior High School Baseball- 2014
*Coach Griffith says-
*Thanks for a great season- Have a wonderful 2014-15 school year!
*Don't forget to play 'Long Toss' and keep your arms in shape, as well!

* 2014 Team season highlights include:
1. The Rockets finished with a 10-4 Conference record, the most wins for the team in over 15 years.
2. The Rockets swept both Pierz and BBE for the first time in over 12 years.
3. The Rockets beat both Maple Lake and Kimball, for the first time in over 6 years.
4. The Rockets 12 total wins were the most since 1999!
* Individual:
1. Senior pitcher George Faue again finished in the 'Metro-Area Top 10' in strikeouts for the regular season.
2. Senior Nick Tully finished the season batting a team-best .395, and Junior Tommy Reinking was not far behind at .378.
3. Senior Brendon Schumacher had a team-high 10 stolen bases.
4. Returning starters include: Shortstop/Pitcher Drew VanDehey, Outfielder's Tommy Reinking, Tom Traen, and Alex Byers, 2nd Base/Pitcher Kyle Bode, Catcher's Brady Boeddeker and Nick Schultz.

**Next years Captains: Drew VanDehey & Tommy Reinking**
** A lot to look forward to, as the Rockets will again compete for the conference title in 2015!

*Varsity Baseball Lettering Requirements*

1. Make game appearance in a number of innings equal to the number of games played in the regular schedule, exclusive of post-season play (i.e. 18 games would require 18 innings of play).
2. Be a member of the varsity squad for the regular season, regardless of the number of innings played.
3. Make a game appearance in post-season tournament play.
4. Be a senior with at least two years of constructive participation, regardless of membership on varsity or junior varsity squads.
5. In addition to the above standards, the coaches will evaluate each candidate in terms of attitude and contribution to the welfare of the team.
6. End the season in good standing.
